The Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS) is a vocational training program developed by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT), operating under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India.
Draughtsman (Civil) Eligibility Criteria
To pursue the course of Draughtsman (Civil), a student must fulfil the following eligibility criteria:-
- Candidates must have qualified their 10th from any recognized board.
- The lower age limit of the candidate must be 14. There is no upper age limit.
Draughtsman (Civil) Course Duration
Draughtsman (Civil) is a 2-year course, primarily based on enhancing knowledge and skills of technical drawings and plans used by production and construction workers to build everything from manufactured products such as spacecraft or industrial machinery. After the completion of the course, the candidate will receive certificates from Govt. of India that allows them to start their career.

Civil Drafters work is related to the calculations for layouts and designs. They also assist in design computations and cost estimates, and they make layouts that are drawn to scale. If the candidates are passionate in civil and civil architecture, then they must pursue a Draughtsman course after passing their 10th examination.
